Still Memories Photography was started by our Chief Photographer Greg Beaty in 2002, with the gracious support of his wife Hiedi. (yes, that’s how she spells it.)  The business started mostly because Greg was spending WAY to much money on his life long hobby, photography.  He decided that in order to save his marriage and least of all his own butt, he had better start making money with the camera equipment he had, before he went out and spent more money on camera equipment, or else…!   

 

The business started out small, doing the occasional portrait, and some small events like graduations, family reunions and so on.  This was all exclusively “on-location” photography.

 

In the spring of 2005 we opened a studio in Alexandria Indiana where we do portraiture, but on-location photography remains the strongest part of our business. 

 

We like to think that, we specialize in bringing the studio to you. 

 

It is Greg’s  philosophy that people can be photographed in a more natural and becoming manor when they are most comfortable.  And he has found that this is often achieved when they are in there own, common or natural surroundings.  Be that there home, or favorite recreational site.  And think, if you’re at home, you don’t have to bring your wardrobe with you.  It’s already there in the closets.

 

Still Memories Photography uses only the best Canon Digital equipment.  We feel that digital allows for greater flexibility and creative freedom.  But don’t worry, the prints are still made with professional laboratory equipment, not a cheap “photo” printer.
